M66 (Arp 16)

M66 (NGC 3627, Arp 16) spiral galaxy type Sb in Leo.  Taken Mar. 23, 24 & 26 2008 in poor transparency with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler, on a C8NGT (8" Newtonian f5) and an ASGT mount.   LRGB subframes were 3 minutes each resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) = 162:72:81:75.  Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels.  Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS.    North is up.

Very nice imaging work here.

I sure miss the optics of my former C8NGT, but just couldn't get along with the EQ mount! Seeing your fine imaging work makes me miss those great optics, which you have setup very nicely! - Tom
