NGC 1977 emission and reflection nebula in Orion. Taken on the nights of Nov 3, Dec 7 and Dec 8, 2007 with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler. Scope used was a C80ED at f6 with a WO 0.8x field flattener/reducer on an ASGT mount. RGB subframes were 90 and 120 sec, resulting in the following total exposures R:G:B ( in min) = 122:128:124 Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels. Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
