NGC 247 (Caldwell 62) Galaxy, type SBcd, in Cetus. Taken Oct 6, 8, 13, 17, Nov 1, 2 and Nov 3 2007 with a DSI Pro II with an Outback Cooler. Telescope used was a C80ED operating at f6 with a WO 0.8x field flattener/reducer on an ASGT mount. The Luminosity was taken from the dark skies at CalStar 2007 while the RGB images were shot from my light polluted (and poor transparency) backyard and required a lot of images to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The L subframes were 4 min, while the RGB sugbframes were 3 and 4 min. The resulting total exposures were L:R:G:B (min) = 140:157:120:160. Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels . Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
