NGC 6960, 6974, 6979, 6992, 6995 & IC 1340:
The Veil Nebula in Cygnus. Taken June
23, July 12 and July 13, 2007 with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler with a
Pentax SMC-DFA 100 mm lens. H-alpha
subframes were 6 min at f2.8, OIII subframes were 8 min at f2.8 and f3.5 and G
subframes were 3 min at f2.8. The
channels were combined to get an RGB image in the following ratios Red = Ha (216 min) : Green = G (48 min)*15% + OIII (240 min) *
85% : Blue = OIII (240 min)*85% +
Ha(216 min)*15%. Final color balance was
achieved via numerically scaled channels.
Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris
with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
