All in one night!! Woohoo!

I finally found out why my brand new LX90 GPS was having so much trouble and not being able to track... The cord. I replaced the brand new "passed/checked" cord and put in my EIGHT YEAR OLD ETX cord. The go to is working wonderfully and tracking is incredibly better. Not to mention after I center a target it no longer randomly decides to move 180 degress across the sky.

A hard learning curve made harder :( This is the product of ~ six months of progress and experimentation.

The Triangulum Galaxy - M33

The Galaxy (NGC598) in Triangulum is often called the Pinwheel Galaxy due to it’s almost face on view which clearly shows it’s spiral nature. Like the Andromeda Galaxy, this one is also a member of our Local Group, but more averaged sized than Andromeda. The galaxy lies about 3000,000 light years away and is roughly half the diameter of our own galaxy, the Milky Way. Within this galaxy you easily see many red nebula, star clusters and dust clouds, just as you see in our own galaxy. The Triangulum galaxy also contains approximately 40 billion stars.

This is a single 30-minute exposure with the Meade LXD75 8" f/4 SNT. The photo was taken with an inexpensive 35mm SLR with Fujichrome 400F Provia slide film. The scope was manually guided with an Orion 910mm photo-guidescope.
