I hope some one can help me. I am having problems connecting my laptop to my LXD 75 mount using network protocol. I am attempting to image using a DSI as the main imager and the LPI as the autoguiding imager. I can connect using commport protocol and can control the scope via laptop using the Autostar starmap. I have checked the device manager and the USB adapter is set to open port Com8. Comm setup is also set to Com8. When I start network server I set Scope Port to 8, Dome to 2, Network Port to 5401, check listen, and immediatly I get an error message: Runtime Error 10048 address in use. In Device Manager com port 8 and beyond are open. When I try other open ports, same message.
I have the latest version of Autostar Suite and Envisage and was able to get it to connect after the upgrade one time only.
I am using a Gateway MX6421 laptop with an AMD 64 processor and 2Gig of RAM. Sewell USB to serial adapter with Prolific PL2303HX chipset. No Antivirus installed, Firewall off, Internet connection disabled. No password in Net Scope. No hardware conflicts.
I believe this is a communications / configuration issue. What am I doing wrong? I thought using network protocol was suppose be able to share the com port connection. How can I test the com port? What are the commands to test? Maybe the dome port is causing the problem. I have no dome. What should it be set at? Anybody sucessful imaging and autoguiding with the DSI and LPI? Any info would me much appriciated.
Thanks,
