    BGalaxie,

This is fiarly simple.  First, make sure both cameras are plugged into your computer before starting Envisage.  Also, make sure your serial cable from your computer to the LX200 is plugged in (the six line phone cable).  Next, Start Envisage, you wil see two tabs, one for each camera.  One will be used for Imaging, the other for guiding.  There is another tab for Telescope Control on the left side.  If you select that tab, you can thn set up the comm port for Envisage to ue for guiding and select the camera which will be used.

At this point, you simply need to select a star on the guide camera and chick the guide here button.  It will go thru a callibration routine and begin guiding. from there you can then select the tab for the imaging camera and begin taking images.

This is a bit over simplified but you should be able to get started with it.  Once you have it set up and have tried it a bit, let us know what other issues you have and we can address them specifically.

Thanks Stephen this will get me started. One other ? i assume i should have the telescope running and  initialized first. I have used one dsi before but need longer exposers to get better pictures. thanks again.

    Bgalaxi,

Yes, you will want to do all the normal things with your telescope such as alignment, etc, first.  Though, I must say that I generall do at least part of my alignment with (or should I say "thru") the camera, definately adds a bit more precision.   I'm assuming that since you are pier mounted you are also polar mounted?

I've done this using a mkix of DSI/DSI Pro for imaging and guiding. I followed the directions given in a tutorial in the files setcion. It went pretty smoothly. The trick is using a well-tuned mount.
