I have installed 7.05 in vista but my lpi does not seem to work. I had hoped this new version would support the lpi in vista. Does anyone know if it does- am I doing something wrong?

    Hey Stewart,

Meade has indicated to me that they have discontinued the LPI and will not be updating the drivers for it to work in Vista...But alas, there is a cure... The problem is with the naming of the web cam inVista and can be corrected. If recollection serves me, when it installs the LPI in Vista it something along the lines of True Web Cam 14830, (you have to note the name when it installs it in Vista). Uninstall the LPI and plug it in with Envisage open and note what Vista names the Meade LPI when it installs the web cam. Run you RegEdit program through Vista and do a registry search for all entries named True Web Cam 14830 (or whatever). Edit all registry entries it will allow you to edit to read "Meade LPI" (most are under values of friendly name). As I recall, there are about 7 to 10 places in the registry this needs to be done. After you do the first one hit the F3 key and it will search and find the next one. Continue finding and replacing all entries it will let you change. This should make the LPI work with Vista.
